Training for Unemployed in Guildford Surrey

Pitman Training Guildford has been given approval to offer a number of its courses at a heavily discounted rate for people who are unemployed or are soon to be made redundant by their employer.   Up to date, professional level IT and administration skills are essential for most positions and this limited time opportunity can make your CV really stand out from the crowd.

This special offer includes most of our standard Microsoft Office, bookkeeping and web development courses.  Due to the high demand we are currently placing a limit of one discounted course per person.  Proof of unemployed status or planned redundancy is required when booking.  Some of these courses may also qualify for funding by a Jobcentre Plus training programme - ask your Jobcentre advisor to contact us for more information.

One day scheduled courses

Places on our one day courses are subject to availability but they typically run once a month.  The discounted fee includes VAT and refreshments.  The box on the right contains a list of our most popular courses but others, such as Microsoft Access and Microsoft Project may also be available.

Each course typically starts at 9.30am and completes by 4.30pm with breaks for lunch and refreshments during the day.  At the end of each course the students are given a course attendance certificate. Click on the course titles for more information.

Self-paced courses

These courses are also run in our training centre but are totally flexible and can start at any time.  They each last about 20 hours and can be studied at times to suit you during the day, evenings and Saturday mornings.  Click on the course title for more information.

At the end of each course there is a test which, if passed, can lead to a widely recognised Pitman certificate.  The standard fee for many of these courses is about £300 so they represent excellent value.
